October Ripped Person – Julia

Meet Julia—our Ripped sweetheart who you can always spot crushing it on Tread 9. She works harder than anyone, sneaks in her sweat before heading off to long days as a resident, and brings the sweetest energy to every class. We’re so lucky to have her in the fam!

What brought you to RippedPHL?

Even though I live in center city, I didn’t know about Ripped until my boyfriend Sachin (a long time Ripped devotee) introduced me to it. Hearing about how much he loved both the workout and the community made me want to try it out for myself! 

What’s your favorite part about working out here? 

I love how friendly and inclusive Ripped is – I felt welcomed from my first class! The instructors do a great job of meeting people where they are at and recognizing progress big or small. 

What’s your “toxic gym trait”? (Be honest!) 

Feeling the need to start on the same tread (shoutout to tread 9) each class 😅 

What’s one thing you’ve accomplished here that you’re proud of?

I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made in both my physical and mental strength! I’ve never thought of myself as particularly strong but the encouraging instructors and the workouts designed with built in gradations of difficulty have made me see I am stronger than I realize! 

What would you say to someone thinking about trying Ripped for the first time?

Trust the process! Even if the workout feels challenging at first, you will surprise yourself with how quickly you can progress.
