What brought you to RippedPHL?

After moving back to the area from San Diego, I tested out a lot of fitness studios in Philly looking for a workout that was fun, but challenging. I enjoyed many but I always seemed to come back to Ripped because I left feeling accomplished.

What’s your favorite part about working out here?

The vibes! I love walking into the studio and hearing the music pumping and the encouragement of the instructors. I also appreciate that class formats are always changing and new options are constantly being added. Often workouts can become stale. You feel like you’re running through the same tread sets or floor movements, but Ripped consistently provides new challenges that keep me excited and coming back! 

Describe your first Ripped class in one word.

Helllooo!

Your first class definitely won’t be easy but a few classes in you’ll notice they second tread set didn’t seem as hard as the last class. The progress is always encouraging and a reminder of how strong you can be! 

What’s your go-to treadmill speed: Beast Mode  or Power Walker ?

I’m definitely somewhere in between the two! I’m working toward that beast mode as best as my old knees will allow. 

Favorite post-workout meal or snack?

coffee and protein bar are a must after a morning class

What’s your “toxic gym trait”? (Be honest! )

I sometimes bring my phone in the studio but promise it’s because I’m on call for work and it’s face down! 

What do you do for fun outside of Ripped?

I’m an avid Philadelphia sports fan (Go Birds! ) who loves to travel and spend time at the Jersey Shore with a book in hand! 

What’s one thing you’ve accomplished here that you’re proud of?

I now always bring the 20 lbs weights to my bench before class which I never thought I’d do!   

What’s your hype-up song on a Ripped playlist?

I follow Anna on Spotify to steal her playlists and Wes always has incredible remixes of the most current pop songs! 

What would you say to someone thinking about trying Ripped for the first time?

Ripped has something for everyone. Whether you’re just hopping on the tread to walk or you’re bringing those 40lbs weights to your bench, the team is here to encourage you and help you get stronger!
